Making Space for Peace

This has been a whirlwind of a year for all of us. The majority of us are struggling still to make sense of this all and working to find any bit of peace that we can. The good news is peace comes from within, the great news is it can be yours anytime you choose access it. Start by, Releasing yourself of expectation that Peacefulness looks a certain way. Your Peace can be sitting in a Zen garden with a Mala in hand, with your eyes closed mediating or peace can be when you are in your car driving down the road singing to your favorite song. Peace is finding harmony. Try this, Make a list of all the things that you find joy in doing, maybe food you enjoy or people you like to be around that are up lifting. Now, is it possible to do one thing on that list everyday? Carve out time in your day for yourself to experience something on your list. Even if it is small and takes little to no time. Make it a priority of the day. Then do a full body scan while you are engaged in your activity. Do you feel weightless? Maybe euphoric for a moment? How is this different from how you usually carry yourself? Don’t just have Peace but BE Peace by encompassing any elements that make up your personal peace. Over time you will learn to make those peaceful moments bigger and bigger until it is the biggest part of your day instead of a small portion.Have the Happiest holidays.

With love and peace ,
